NACo Sponsored Webinar Stormwater Runoff for Counties 

The National Association of Counties (NACo), funded by an EPA grant, will hold a "Stormwater Runoff for Counties" webinar on Thursday, Nov.12, from 2-3:30 p.m. EST.  The webinar, with a targeted audience of NACo members, will describe how counties have worked with federal initiatives to provide safe, affordable drinking water to constituents. Panelists participating in the webinar include Andrea Korovesis, Rob Swanson, and Stephen McCracken from DuPage County Illinois, Youn Sim of LA County, California, and Sarah Furtak and Menchu Martinez from U.S. EPA.

Register Today! Geostatistical Course Scheduled March 8-12, 2010 A Short Course on Geostatistical Analysis of Environmental Data will be offered this coming March in Gainesville, FL. Enrollment in this course is limited to the first 30 participants.  Due to the specialized nature of this course, advance registration is required. This course addresses a wide range of topics and will appeal to many people, including geologists, soil scientists, and agricultural enginneers. 2010 Land Grant and Sea Grant National Water Conference The 2010 Land and Sea Grant National Water Conference will take place February 21-25, at the Marriot Hilton Hotel in Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. Conference highlights include over 160 presentations addressing current and future water resource management issues, and participants will consist of University researchers and educators who lead water quality and quantity programs. Mid-South Watershed Training Program WEPP Model Workshop for Watershed Assessment & Planning Applications will be held on November 17-19, 2009 in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
