OSRC River Currents 5(2) - The latest issue of the Scenic Rivers newsletter is available now, and it is outstanding! It includes pictures of 2008 flooding on the Illinois River, gravel bar restoration at Peavine Access Area, poultry industry efforts, and the changes due to SB 1381, eliminating user fees. Be sure to check out this issue. -mds - 7/31/2008

Poultry Litter Transfer Subsidy -

Subsidy to transfer litter out of Illinois River and Spavinaw/Eucha watersheds. The most significant changes to the program are: buyers must be pre-approved, rate changed from 5 cents to 3 cents/ton/loaded mile, and the eligibility map is no longer valid. Anyone in the state of OK that is outside NLWs and NVGs and more than 10 miles from the source of litter can apply for the program.
