This report compares the results of fish species surveys in 1974, 1981, and 1982. Includes calculations for species abundance, distribution, and diversity indices. Discusses relation of these results with changes in water quality parameters. Specific implications for management of the bass fisheries resource is included. Several raw data sheets are included as well.

Phd Thesis. Research was designed to (1) develop a method to determine the limiting nutrient in a lotic ecosystem; resulted in production of the Matlock Periphytometer, (2) measure limiting nutrient in three watersheds in a basin; Peacheater, Tyner, and Battle Creeks, and (3) determine periphytic trophic status of lotic ecosystems in specific watersheds within a basin. Discussion of the research, with recommendations for further work are included.

MAPS AND PHOTOS MISSING. Appears to be a chapter excerpted from the Illinois River Management Plan. Reviews county-, state-, and federal-level legislation and regulation concerning IR resources in these three OK counties. Particularly concerned with state and county laws regarding septic tank placement and general construction. Reviews federal laws regarding wildlife and habitat protection, soil conservation, and agricultural practices.

MS Thesis. Used the Vollenweider method to stochastically model phosphorus loading to Lake Tenkiller and the consequent impact on its eutrophication state. Results of this model suggested that the effluent from the Fayetteville wastewater treatment plant into Mud Creek would not result in large scale degradation. Report maintained that most phosphorus is from nonpoint sources.
