Meet all TMDLs in surface waters of the watershed
Reduce sediment and nutrient loading in all the federal reservoirs of the watershed: Grand Lake (OK), John Redmond Reservoir (KS), Marion Reservoir (KS), and Council Grove Lake (KS)
Reduce human health risk by controlling contamination by pathogens and associated indicators in the lake and all rivers, streams, and tributaries in the watershed
nhance and/or protect the watershed such that it meets all designated uses, protects endangered species, and preserves threatened ecosystems
Intermediate Outcomes

Implementation of Low impact development/smart growth in the watershed
More conservation management systems and structural practices installed on cropland to reduce erosion and sediment yield
Implementation of more nutrient management planning and recordkeeping systems for efficient utilization of both commercial and organic fertilizers and manure on pastures and cropland in targeted areas
Improved livestock management to reduce overgrazing and direct impacts of livestock on streams (implementation of winter feeding facilities, alternate watering sources, livestock exclusion systems, etc.)
Streambank stabilization and riparian area restoration and protection
Improved management of stormwater runoff from suburban developments, small towns, and cities, using bioretention cells and other green technologies
Updating and improving on-site wastewater treatment for homes, public buildings, and small businesses
Installation of vegetative buffer strips and constructed wetlands where appropriate
