Water Quality Implications of Unpaved Rural Roads: Unpaved rural roads may be responsible for 11-38% of the sediment produced in the Stillwater Creek Watershed in North Central Oklahoma. 319 Demonstration project shows that design and maintenance BMPs can reduce the rural road erosion by 79%.
